Product Description

The TAISAN Linear Edge Sanding Machine is the perfect solution for automating the labor-intensive process of edge finishing. While wide belt sanders handle the top surface, this machine specializes in the Side Edges.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Head Configuration: Usually equipped with a combination of oscillating belt sanders (for heavy removal) and polishing wheels (for fine finishing).

  • Oscillating Belts: The sanding belts oscillate up and down to utilize the full width of the sandpaper and prevent overheating.

  • Versatility: It handles raw wood sanding (removing rough saw marks) and primer sanding (polishing the lacquer layer) equally well. It is an essential machine for manufacturing interior doors, cabinet sides, skirting boards, and window frames.

Ideal For:

  • Door Manufacturing: Sanding the vertical edges of solid wood or MDF doors.

  • Panel Furniture: Preparing edges of plywood or blockboard before edge banding.

  • Mouldings: Sanding flat or simple profiled skirting boards.

  • Primer Sanding: Polishing the edge after the primer coat is applied.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1:Can it sand curved edges?

No. This “Linear” machine is strictly for Straight Edges. If you need to sand curved or round panels (like a round table), you need a different manual or CNC sander.

This standard model sands one side at a time. For higher production volumes (like flooring), we can offer a Double-Sided Edge Sander that processes parallel edges simultaneously.

Yes. By using fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., 320# – 600#) and adjusting the speed, the sanding heads can gently polish the primer surface without sand-through, ensuring a smooth topcoat finish.
