Automatic Woodworking Sanding Machine Series

Automatic Wide Belt Calibration Sanding Machine (Heavy Duty)

The heavy-duty solution for precise thickness control. This Automatic Wide Belt Calibration Sander is engineered to level uneven raw wood panels and calibrate board thickness with high precision (±0.1mm). Featuring a robust steel roller system and high-power motors, it efficiently removes stock material from Solid Wood, Plywood, and MDF to create a perfectly flat base.

Product Description

The TAISAN Calibration Sanding Machine is the first and most critical step in surface preparation. Unlike finishing sanders that polish the surface, this machine acts as a Thicknesser. It uses a large diameter Steel Contact Roller to aggressively remove wood fibers and level out height differences on the board surface.

Why do you need Calibration? Raw boards (especially solid wood finger-joint panels or plywood) often have thickness variations. If not calibrated, these uneven spots will cause issues in later stages (like uneven gluing or coating). This machine guarantees a flat, uniform surface, making it ready for veneering, laminating, or fine sanding.

Ideal For:

  • Solid Wood Panels: Leveling finger-joint boards and lumber.

  • Plywood & Blockboard: Calibrating thickness before laminating.

  • MDF & Particle Board: Removing surface wax or rough fibers.

  • Calcium Silicate Board: Heavy sanding for construction panels.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1:What is the difference between a Calibration Sander and a Primer Sander?

A Calibration Sander uses hard Steel Rollers and coarse grit (40#-120#) to remove wood stock and fix thickness. A Primer Sander uses soft Air Pads and fine grit (320#-600#) to gently polish paint without changing thickness.

No! The steel rollers are too aggressive and generate too much heat. Sanding paint with this machine will instantly clog the belts and burn the surface. Use a Primer Sander for paint.

The first roller is typically a Spiral Steel Roller. Steel does not deform under pressure, ensuring the sander cuts exactly to the set thickness (Calibrating).
