Automatic Conveyors & Material Handling Systems

Automatic U-Turn Curve Conveyor (Tapered Roller Type)

Master the corners of your production line. This Automatic U-Turn Curve Conveyor features specially designed Tapered Rollers to transport panels around 90° or 180° corners smoothly. It maintains the panel’s orientation without sliding or jamming, making it the perfect connector for U-shaped factory layouts.

Product Description

The TS-UR U-Turn Roller Conveyor is the standard solution for changing production direction without stopping the flow. Unlike ‘Parallel Transfer’ machines that move sideways, this machine creates a Continuous Curve.

The Secret: Tapered Rollers Standard cylindrical rollers cannot handle curves (they cause panels to twist). Our machine uses Conical (Tapered) Rollers.

  • Principle: The outer diameter of the roller is larger than the inner diameter. This ensures the linear speed matches the turning radius of the panel.

  • Result: The panel stays perfectly straight and stable throughout the turn, preventing edge damage or misalignment.

Modular Design: Can be configured as a 90° Curve (L-Shape) or a 180° U-Turn depending on your factory space requirements.

Ideal For:

  • Return Lines: Connecting the end of the line back to the start (U-shape).

  • Corner Connections: Turning the production flow 90 degrees to fit building corners.

  • Cooling Buffers: extending the cooling path by adding curved sections.

  • Heavy Duty: Suitable for heavy doors and flooring packs (Roller type is stronger than belt type).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1:Why use Roller type instead of Belt type?

Roller Curves are generally more durable and can carry heavier loads than Belt Curves. They are also less prone to tracking issues. However, for very small or soft parts, a Belt Curve might be preferred.

Yes. The curve conveyor must run at the exact same speed as the straight conveyors connected to it. We include a Frequency Inverter to precisely match the line speed.

No. If the panel enters “long edge leading”, it will exit “long edge leading”. The machine changes the direction of travel, but maintains the panel’s relative orientation.
