Automatic Laminating, Wrapping & Vacuum Press Solutions

Automatic Panel Pre-heating Tunnel (IR System)

The secret to strong adhesion in any climate. This Automatic Panel Pre-heating Tunnel is designed to warm up the substrate surface before glue application. By removing moisture and opening the wood pores, it ensures deep glue penetration and prevents delamination, especially during winter production.

Product Description

The TS-PH Pre-heating Machine is the first critical step in a high-quality lamination line. Positioned directly before the Glue Spreader, its primary function is to condition the board surface (MDF, Particle Board, Plywood) for optimal bonding.

In cold or humid environments, substrates can retain moisture and have a low surface temperature. This causes hot melt glue to cool instantly upon contact (‘Shock Cooling’), resulting in a weak bond. This machine uses powerful Infrared (IR) Heating Lamps to heat the board surface to 40°C – 60°C. This eliminates surface moisture and keeps the glue ‘open’ longer, ensuring a permanent, inseparable bond.

Ideal For:

  • Winter Production: Essential for preventing glue failure in cold weather.

  • Moisture Removal: Drying surface dampness from storage.

  • MDF & Plywood: Opening surface pores for better glue absorption.

  • High Gloss Lamination: Helping glue flow out smoother for a mirror finish.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Why is pre-heating important for PUR glue?

PUR glue relies on chemical reaction and penetration. If the board is cold, the glue “freezes” on the surface instead of soaking in. Pre-heating ensures the glue stays liquid long enough to grab the fibers.

No. The heating is rapid and focused only on the surface skin, not the core. It passes through quickly, so the board remains flat while the surface becomes ready for bonding.

Yes. The lamps are independently controlled. In hot summer months (above 30°C), you may turn off some or all lamps to save energy, using the machine simply as a conveyor.
